Colson Kelly (aka Machine Gun Kelly) is a rap musician with a distinct style. Baker, who was born April 22, 1990 in Houston Texas U.S. to a family with English Scottish and German ancestry, is renowned for his distinctive method of rapping. Both of his parents are missionaries. During his childhood Baker traveled a lot with them. James Colson Baker suffered from depression and was unemployed, as Sonia Alane abandoned them at the age of nine. Baker's father emigrated along with his son to Denver and they lived at the home of his aunt. Baker received a lot of attention from fellow kids because of his poverty. After he was in sixth grade, Baker started to take up the art of rap. Colson Baker, a.k.a by the name Machine Gun Kelly, was born in Texas on the 22nd of April 1990. In his music, he is famous for blending hip-hop trends of the present along with classic rock. Baker released four mixtapes prior to joining Bad Boy Records between 2007-2010. In the midst of delivering lyrics at the speed of a bullet train this Cleveland rapper saw a meteoric increase in the latter half of 2011 as Baker made the switch from releasing self-released mixtapes to working with reputed labels. The fame of this Cleveland rapper rocketed when the release of his first mixtape at the end of 2011.
