Steven TylerThe band was on Boston's club circuit , being guided by Frank Connelly their first manager. The group then began to collaborate with Steve Leber, David Krebs, New York managers. In 1972 they signed a record contract and released their debut album. The album was followed by Get Your Wings and Toys in the Attic and Rocks. It brought Aerosmith international fame and recognition. These albums were the inspiration of iconic hits like "Dream on", Walk This Way as well as "Sweet Emotion". Aerosmith's first five albums were multi-platinum. Toys in the Attic and Rocks have been considered as some of the best album of hard rock to date. But, as the decade progressed, the fast-paced life of performing, recording, living together, and using drugs began to take its toll on the band. Tyler and Perry were often called the Toxic Twins, for their legendary intake of stimulants and heroin. Aerosmith Behind the Music includes numerous videos that demonstrate their bond. Tyler seemed to be more committed to the group was able to feel resentful towards Perry's passiveness and admire Perry's priority for females in his life. The dynamic of tension between Tyler, Perry, and their former girlfriends was a leading factor in the gradual decay of Aerosmith from 1980 onwards.
