American actress Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. Her acting career began by playing supporting roles in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). She was later a reporter Willa McPherson on the FX series Dirt and had a supporting role in the short-lived drama The Ex List. In the premiere season, she played the role of Moira O'Hara, a young Moira and, in the second season, she played Kaylee. She portrayed Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She also voiced several characters in the animated series Family Guy. Since 2019she has been appearing in the role of Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien in Connecticut. She moved to California with her mother when she was of 10. They moved around for one year before they found their home in Mill Valley. Breckenridge became interested in photography, acting and singing when she was 13. When she was 15 she relocated with her mom to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.
